According to this article loss of sleep increases inflammation in the body.
I’m so screwed. No wonder I get injured so much; my muscles don’t have time to recover and I hammer them mercilessly.
Ah, well.

Friday: Didn’t run, felt injured…IT band acting up
Saturday: 70 minutes (25, break/stretch cause I was really tight, 45 more…)
Sunday: Water run 1 hour
Monday: 55 minutes
Tuesday: 5 toploops @ 9:45, 9:25, 9:20, 9:20, 9:30, then backwards with Bobby/Aaron who were hammering at 8:45 toploop pace. Sort of a disappointing run.
The coming six months are going to be utter hell.
1) College Apps. Oh Noes.
2) Math SAT II. Yes, I’m retaking. Yes, I’m math-challenged. Yes, I got a 690 and thats probably the lowest an Asian has ever scored on the Math SAT II. So yeah, ’nuff said.
3) SATs. I did score over 700 on each part (total 2170) but now I need another 50 points to get over that barrier. Shouldn’t be a problem, except finding time to actually study.
4) Clubs? I have to figure out what I want to do this year with NHS. I want to do something meaningful, of course! For FBLA I still need to make a site and a design…. Newspaper I also plan to write more articles (and better articles thanks to Ms. Whitten’s Class).
5) Ms. Whitten’s class.
6) All my other APs
7) Running! I’m currently del top 10 but I think thats ’cause Friggly and Tai didn’t run the time trials otherwise it could have been lower. I’m also upset I wasn’t faster than that…
8)Ideastorm! I have so many good ideas about what to do with my newfound love of javascript libraries that I can hardly wait. I also have ideas for what to do if I had a Roland Juno D (which I’m probably gonna pay half for or none at all on Christmas thanks to my generous parents). Unfortunately, ideas take time to implement, time I don’t have right now unless I plan on dropping out of school.
So for now, just work and pain. Wonderful. I love life.
THIS is web art. Just click a link. Brilliant 1-page design. Un-freaking-believable.
So today I was cleaning up my computer, general maintenance…and guess what I found?
TWO YEARS WORTH OF OLD BLOG POSTS. TWO YEARS! I’m so happy. I thought I had lost it all in the big server crash of 08. Apparently not. I seem to have backed up every post up till January 07, which isn’t too bad considering before I thought I only had January 05. But now that I have at least a little old stuff to remember from high school with, I will restore them and then embark upon that long and tedious process of sorting them through categories and tags.
Since the crash, I’ve been making biweekly backups as opposed to annual backups.
Its about time I learned to be more responsible with data anyway.
So I lost all posts between 2007/01/18 and 2008/05/22. Great.
I just realized the consequence of not providing incremental page view links: robots can’t find my old posts with my linux guides! I better repost and stuff..
I think this comment summarizes the situation.
If Biden were the presidential nominee for the DP, and he had picked an unknown, unheard of black man named Barack Obama as his VP, Palin bashers should be saying the same things about him. Unknown, short political life, no international experience, etc. and Biden pandering to the black vote.
Obama groupies who bash Palin within a few hours of her pick lack objectivity. Their disdain for McCain and Bush clouds their judgment. Let’s wait and see - and judge these two newbies by the same standards.
About all that can be said against Palin is that she isn’t the rock star Obama is. America will get what we deserve and that concerns me greatly.
12:31 for the frosh course. I hit 12:2x soph year though, so this is a little upsetting. Oh well, I guess its what happens when you’re chronically injured and can’t do anything about it. I definitely will be seeing Dr. Connors when I get a chance.
I cleaned the upstairs today, and it was dusty as hell. I feel like dying cause I can’t breathe.
I am sore. Yeah I have to seriously pray. And take Advil.
Today I didn’t do much of anything. I woke up at 9:30am, ate breakfast, and then went back to sleep until lunchtime. Then I ate lunch, and spent the next 4 hours reading the news before heading off to practice.
Practice consisted of 40 minutes: 2 toploops, college hill, 1 time around the school, 1 lap around the track. Tomorrow is time trials.
Nike Zoom Forevers are the best spikes I’ve ever worn. They seem to support my arch better than my trainers do. I feel fast in them. But I’m still bitter that I wasn’t able to go to camp, because most of the guys who went have improved significantly, and I feel that having run alone (or with Dave Sun) at home hasn’t improved me nearly as much, if at all. We only did one workout after all, and it was bullshit.
I guess it was better that I didn’t go to camp though, because my shins and knees are still bothering me a lot. I think I will see Dr. Connors soon to pick up some Orthotics…
7/11, Taquitos, ’nuff said.
Or rather, I went to 7/11 with Dave Sun after running. We ran about 70 minutes: to village school, to park thru Roberts Road. Then we headed to 7/11 for some Taquitos and slurpees. Unfortunately, Dave’s mom called him and asked him where he was and he said 7/11 and she didn’t believe him. Which strikes me as slightly odd, except for maybe the fact that we asked her for the time today and she told us something about 7/11, which reminded me of 7/11, and Dave had Taquitos for lunch today, which reminded me of 7/11, and I was thirsty after the run, which reminded me of 7/11, and I asked Dave if he wanted to go, and off we headed after our run, to 7/11!
Ah I wonder how that ended for him. I get the notion he wasn’t supposed to go.
